About the Festival

The annual Bob Kames Foundation Jazz Festival features the best bands from High Schools and Middle Schools competing for thousands of dollars in grants and scholarships on several stages. The students perform as big bands and combos through out the day as well as attend master classes and seminars. The festival also features local bands and national acts that perform to cap off the festival. Previous festivals featured Chuck Mangione, Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat band, Eric Marienthal and Brian Culbertson. The entire day is open to the public for a modest fee and the national act is a seperate admission.
